How to use bitcoins

Bitcoins are a very effective way of sending money. You can save a lot of money on payment fees if you use Bitcoins to top up your money.

You don't need to be scared BTC will lose its value - simply buy BTC just before transfer to Tiptrans and we will credit your actual value in USD/EUR.

If you are new to Bitcoins, we will help you to understand how it works.

  1. You need to purchase Bitcoins (we suggest using Coinbase which is one of the largest BTC exchanges, with outstanding security, or Crypto.com). Alternatively, you might use the service Local Bitcoins, which will enable you to buy BTC from someone near you.
  2. Now you need to transfer your Bitcoins to any wallet, which supports "Payment Protocol". It's a system, which makes sure you will pay the exact amount you are requested to pay by the merchant. Not every wallet supports it (for example you can't pay directly from Coninbase), but there is a lot of good and secure wallets you can use. Please read this article from Bitpay (that's the gateway we are using to accept BTC payments). We suggest you use a BitPay wallet.
  3. Go to the "top-up" page at Tiptrans and select Bitcoin as a payment method. Our system will generate a payment link and QR code for payment. Just a reminder - you need to use a wallet that supports "Payment protocol" (also known as BIP-70). We will not show you a clean BTC address so you can't send us BTC directly.
  4. Bitcoin payments are usually processed within 30 minutes. We will credit your balance automatically once the transaction is confirmed by the Bitcoin network
